HOT DOCS HONORS STEVE JAMES WITH 2016 OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Director Steve James joins the ranks of extraordinary documentarians like Werner Herzog, Errol Morris, and Albert Maysles as the recipient of Hot Docs’ 2016 Outstanding Achievement Award. The award honors Steve’s 30 year career of award-winning films, which Hot Docs director of programming Shane Smith describes as having “demonstrated his commitment to illuminating stories of grit, honour and personal sacrifice; and solidified his status as a master of the documentary form.”
